Lungisisa Indlela Village (LIV) was birthed through the vision of Tich and Joan Smith. Tich Smith is a famous South African Cricket Player. After a very successful career, Joan and Tich could have easily retired in luxury, but instead they followed the call of God to do something about the orphan crisis in South Africa. In September 2009, an 83 acre farm was purchased, north of Amaoti, the largest informal settlement in KwaZulu Natal, next to the community of Cottonlands, and the building of the village began.

Like Lily and iKhethelo, LIV is set up with family-style housing. Children who come to LIV gain brothers, sisters and a house mom, as well as many other parental figures through the committed staff. These children are taken from devastating situations and brought into a place of safety, hope and help.

At present, LIV has 154 children, but is able to accomodate 1,000. The goal is to continue reaching orphaned and vulnerable children until it reaches capacity. LIV is also involved in many other life-giving endeavors like small businesses that provide products that people need, give income to adults in the community and raise support for the village.

LIV has already implemented plans to build more villages. LoVE USA’s vision is that every child in South Africa will have a home and people who love them! We are able to work towards this because of our partnership with these amazing villages.
